FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Third Annual Carolina Q Cup World Barbeque
Championship “Anything But” will be held on Friday evening October 6th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The teams will be cooking and serving samples of anything but pork. Wrist bands for “Anything But” will be available for $5 per person. On Saturday, October 7th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the public will have the opportunity to sample the barbecue prepared and served by the cookers. Wrist bands for the “Carolina Q” will be available for $10 per person. The championship competition will include one professional category. Each of the teams will prepare a whole hog and a Boston Butt using either wood or gas for the competition. A second division honoring our men and women in uniform will include cooking teams from the U.S. Army, the SC Highway Patrol, the Columbia Fire Department and other service and military organizations. Prizes will be awarded to a limited number of barbeque teams
deemed as the best of the best. The Grand Champion will receive the coveted
